BOX CITY: A Year-Round Program for Youth & Scout Groups

Box City is a fun way for youth groups and scouts to learn about communities, why we live in them, and the interrelationships among citizens.

Box City is based upon a locally conceived program created by Ginny and Dean Graves, an educator and an architect. It is now used internationally by museums, schools, universities, city governments and other organizations. It's a unique way to educate participants about city planning and participation in community using math, social studies and geography in a fun, highly interactive environment.

Ask About Our Bus Subsidy!

Thanks to a donation from Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market at 75th and Nieman Road in Shawnee, schools in Kansas and Missouri may apply for a $75 bus subsidy to help fund transportation to Shawnee Town. These funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The subsidy must be requested at the time you book your school visit. Schools may receive one subsidy per year.

On the day of your visit, we will need to know to whom the check should be made (example: your school, school district, etc.) and the full address where the check should be sent. Checks will be mailed within 10 working days after your visit. For more information on the bus subsidy call (913) 248-2360.
