Shawnee Town 1929 is a museum that is a division of the City of Shawnee's Parks and Recreation Department. The Museum is currently undergoing an expansion that will allow visitors to experience a typical day in and around the 1920s farm community of Shawnee, Kansas, through authentic collections, exhibits, programs and events.
Shawnee Town is now offering many new programs starting this winter. We look forward to your participation in one of the many new and exciting programs Shawnee Town 1929 has to offer. Old Shawnee Days at Shawnee Town

Have you ever been to Old Shawnee Days? Visit Romeo and the ladies in Shawnee Town’s chicken coop, plant seeds in the garden, do laundry on a washboard, design your own building for our make-believe town, play games in the schoolhouse, and design your own family tree. Did you meet Nymphadora, the cow, last year. If you haven’t you’re in for a world of fun! We hope to see you there!
